In the late 1980’s Nienkamper was commissioned to make a similar chair for Prince Charles, but it had to fold, allowing the chair to fit into the boot of his car. When the Prince arrived at this polo matches, he simply pulled the chair out and unfolded it. The Polo chair was born.
