About Nienkämper

A furniture company succeeds when it meets human needs while pursuing the highest ideals in design and manufacturing. At Nienkämper we never compromise, and it is this philosophy that has earned us high praise, a long list of awards and decades of success. Our design philosophy insists that clients needs are distilled to their essence, energy is conserved, and unnecessary waste is eliminated. We are committed to being at the forefront of innovation, collaborating with forward-thinking designers, and pushing the boundaries of technology.

Nienkämper began importing, and later manufacturing under license, classic European-designed furniture in the 1960s and 1970s. As our international profile grew, we added American and Canadian designers to the lineup. Today the company is recognized for producing some of the best corporate and residential furniture on the market.

Our factory, located in Toronto, has expanded dramatically since the company's founding in 1968. Today it is a 120,000-square-foot state-of-the-art facility producing furniture for shipment around the world. Our proven track record is founded on classic and contemporary designs that work together, the highest standards in manufacturing, durability, and ease of maintenance.

Nienkämper's record as a leading furniture manufacturer has long inspired trust. We respect design, and we respect our customers. We do what it takes to deliver the best product and the greatest value in the most efficient and effective way.

We built Nienkämper around an all-encompassing philosophy: to create furniture that responds directly to customer demands in a constantly evolving marketplace.

Our mission is to honor our commitments to our customers, promote the use of responsible materials, recognize constantly the importance of innovation and provide an environment where people can use their skills in an atmosphere of mutual respect.

Nienkämper celebrated its 50th anniversary on the beautiful rooftop level of the new Globe and Mail building in downtown Toronto.
