Care Instruction

First dust with a clean, Dry soft cloth to remove any foreign particles and dust present on the surface. Next a slightly damp cloth should be used to clean the surface, followed by a dry soft cloth to remove the excess moisture. At no time should any abrasives ever be used in an effort to remove dirt etc., nor should any moisture be allowed to stand on wood surfaces. Furniture polishes are not recommended. In addition to the above, consideration should be given to the humidity levels in your home and office environment where fine wood products are found. Keeping humidity at an even level as much as possible throughout the year will greatly extend the life of the natural wood products.

When cleaning Nienkämper leathers, use a soft clean damp cloth and a mild solution of non detergent soap, such as Ivory or Palmolive, to wash the item. The cloth must be damp, not dripping wet. Dry with a clean soft cloth, blotting any excess moisture away. Leave to dry naturally, do not use heat to dry the surface. A thorough cleaning with a fine leather milk product is recommended on an annual basis to add natural oils to the leather to keep it soft and supple.

In time all leather takes on a patina and spills generally blend into the leather giving a piece of furniture a personal character. Whenever a more serious accident occurs, please contact a leather care specialist.

Important care before using whiteboard surface:

Clean the surface thoroughly with a non-abrasive household cleaner, such as a glass cleaner. Once cleaned, completely rinse the surface with clean water. The water rinse will remove any residue left behind by the cleaning agent. Dry with a clean soft cloth.

Important maintenance for whiteboard surfaces:

1) Use dry erase markers for optimal results.

2) Remove dry-erase markings with felt erasers for longer lasting surface effectiveness. Press firmly when erasing, using a circular motion. Change erasers as they become dirty. Dirty erasers will leave ink residue on the surface.

3) High gloss dry-erase surfaces offer excellent dry-erasability, as the gloss level decreases so may the total effectiveness of dry erasing. If ghosting occurs, wipe the board with a soft cloth dampened with water. Ghosting is the term used to describe any faint remnant of marker left on the board after dry erasing.

4) For daily cleaning, rinse the surface with water. This may be done with a soft cloth or a sponge. Dry the surface with a soft cloth prior to writing.

5) If washing the material with a soft cloth and water will not remove marks, use a dry erase cleaner available at office supple stores. Once the material is clean, rinse the surface with water and dry with a soft cloth.

6) For stubborn stains, you can use a paint/stain remover such as Goof Off®. Apply to a soft cloth, blot and/or rub gently over the stained area. After the stain has been removed, rinse with clean water and dry with a soft cloth. Follow the paint/stain remover manufacturer''s precautions before using.

Caution:

Do not use ballpoint pens or other sharp pointed instruments on the whiteboard surface.Do not use abrasive cleaners.

Permanent marker may be removed with dry erase cleaner or by writing over the markings with a dry erase marker.
